The Broyhill Inn is proud to be involved in the University's recycling program. We ask our guests to help us move forward in our "Green Initiative"!
For the convenience of all, we have collection bins located in the public guest areas and the guestrooms.

More Progressive Waste Reduction Programs:
• Our property lighting has been converted to GE brand compact fluorescent lighting.
• Thermostats - All of our thermostats are set at 68 degrees to conserve our energy usage.
• Culinary operations donate unused food daily to our local charitable collection agencies.
• Used fryer oil is used on campus for production of Bio-diesel fuels.
• Food scraps from preparation and waste go to compost.
• Conversion of our cleaning chemicals to "Green" products is underway.
• Construction is underway for the new Broyhill Wind Turbine located behind the Broyhill Inn.
